You can also get a drinking water cooler that only provides ice-cold water. This type is especially popular in canteens, schools and other institutions.

The tap works by letting the water flow into a cold metal block. Here it is chilled and then runs through a carbon filter before landing in your glass. This ensures the water is fresh and purified. If you choose a tap with boiling water, it also comes with a boiler with a limescale filter to ensure scale-free water.
